Nov 21 Let the Good Times Roll
Dress in your holiday best and help us kick off the festival with an evening of Mexican Flair to include hors d' oeuvres, live entertainment, and Mexican cocktails from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Victorian Team Room, 522 E. Main Street. Tickets are $15 and available in advance at the Visitor's Center, 200 E. Main Street, as well as at the door.  
Nov 22 Tour de Nac
Sponsored by: Dr. Larry L. Walker, M.D., The Bike Shop, Nacogdoches Main Street
                                                          

Ride through the brick streets of downtown and see the sites of the Oldest Town in Texas and the beautiful countryside surrounding it. A 7.8 mile and a 53 mile route will be included, both will begin and end in downtown Nacogdoches. The long ride starts at 8 a.m., and the short ride starts at 8:30 a.m. Entry fee is $25 for early registration (before November 3rd) and $30 for regular registration.  Nov 21-22 Holiday in the Pines
Shop for unique holiday gifts at this much-anticipated annual shopping extravaganza at the Hotel Fredonia,, 200 N. Fredonia St. VIP Shopping from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, $30 and 9-11 a.m. Friday, $10.  Regular shopping 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, $6. Nov 22 -Dec. 30 Festival of Trees
See beautifully decorated Christmas trees - one representing each of the nine flags that have flown over Nacogdoches throughout its rich history. Trees will be on display during business hours in the lobby of the Visitors' Center, located at 200 E. Main St. 
 22 Lighting Ceremony

The local holiday season will get a high-voltage jump-start when more than 3 million lights are set aglow with the flip of a switch, instantly transforming historic downtown into a twinkling winter wonderland. Live entertainment, children's activities, vendor booths, carriage rides and pictures with Santa will round out the evening's festivities. 5 to 8 p.m. Free admission.  25 Cherryholmes Bluegrass Christmas

Join America's new first family of bluegrass for a Christmas special full of the group's hard-driving instrumental, virtuosity and explosive vocal harmonies. The group performs regularly on the Grand Ole Opry, and their 2007 release, Cherryholmes II., opened up at #1 on the Billboard Charts. W. M. Turner Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Single tickets $25 for A seating, $29 for B seating and $17.50 for C seating. Discounts available for seniors, students and youth.  Call 936-468-ARTS for tickets. 

 29 Wassail Fest
Sponsored by the Daily Sentinel and the Downtown Business Association

Downtown Nacogdoches merchants will once again be competing for bragging rights for the best holiday brew during Wassail Fest, one of the highlights of the 11th annual Nine Flags Festival. Shoppers and other downtown visitors are invited to warm their bodies and spirits by sampling the various recipes, which will be judged on both taste and presentation. The competition is fierce, but the wassail is a warm and welcome respite for holiday shoppers. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., downtown. Free admission.

Come view the best gingerbread homes in Nacogdoches! These delicious pieces of art will be on display at Hotel Fredonia, 200 Fredonia Street . Click here for an entry form.

4 "Sounds of Nacogdoches" by the SFA Brass Quintet Dinner & Concert                                                                    Sponsored by Bancorp South     

The SFA Brass Quintet, composed of faculty and student brass players, will perform standards from the Classical repertoire, popular tunes and seasonal favorites. Dinner is included at the evening kicks off at 6 p.m. at Hotel Fredonia, downtown. Tickets are $25 for adults, or $50 for patron. Available at the Visitor's Center, 200 E. Main Street.

5 An Old Fashioned Christmas

Take a step back in time this holiday season to visit the annual, "An Old Fashioned Christmas" at Millard's Crossing Historic Village where Christmas is still celebrated the old fashioned way. This charming Christmas candlelit evening event offers a nostalgic setting for a variety of Christmas activities in an historic village, which is lit up and decorated for the holidays and planned to evoke memories of this celebration in the past. The event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at Millard's Crossing Historic Village, 6020 North Street. $5 adults, $4 children. 

5 First Friday Night
Sponsored by Nacogdoches Main Street         

Join us in historic downtown Nacogdoches, and shop late till eight! Participating downtown merchants will stay open late so you can finish up or get started on that Christmas shopping list of yours. What better way to spend a Friday night than strolling the red brick streets with 3 million plus Christmas lights in the background. For more information call 936-559-2573.  The Nacogdoches Convention & Visitors Bureau will be open late with a list of participating merchants as well.

 SFA's Original cast will perform 'An East Texas Christmas Carol," combining Charles Dickens with the Wizard of Oz," "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and the histories of Nacogdoches. 7:30 p.m. Tickets $8 adults, $5 students. Location 113 E. Main Street. Tickets available at the Visitors Center, 200 E. Main Street. $8 Adults, $5 students.

                                              

6 Jingle Bell Run
Sponsored by Nacogdoches Main Street , Cesar DelAguila, & R&K Distributors    

This certified 5K run is set for 8:30 a.m. in downtown Nacogdoches with the 3K walk beginning shortly thereafter. The awards presentation will be held at 10 a.m. Registration forms will be available at the Visitors' Center, 200 E. Main St. and online. The race winds its way through the historic streets of the oldest town in Texas and will kick off a full day of festival activities downtown. Entry fees are $15 for early registration, $20 for regular registration and $6 for children. Click here for a registration.

6 Pancakes with Santa

Enjoy a fun-filled breakfast with Santa at the Café Fredonia (inside the Hotel Fredonia, 200 N. Fredonia St., downtown).  Café open 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.   Pancake Breakfast price $6.95 adult and $3.95 children under 6. Don’t forget your camera!

Children of all ages will enjoy an afternoon of games and arts and crafts. 2 to 5 p.m., downtown square. Free admission.

Lighted Christmas Parade

 The largest lighted Christmas parade in East Texas will be winding its way through the historic streets of downtown Nacogdoches,  which itself will be glowing with more than 3 million festive holiday lights. Parade starts at 6:30  p.m. Download a form here.

6 Fireworks

The annual fireworks display has become a much-anticipated highlight of the festival. The 30-minute explosive display lights up the sky over the Oldest Town in Texas. Estimated start time is 7:45 p.m., downtown. Free admission.

6 Texas Old-Time Fiddler's State Championship Contest

Junior and Senioertainment you'll ever hear. Hotel Fredonia, 200 N. Fredonia Street. Banita Ballroom, downtown Nacogdoches. 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Free Admission
